Day 10 - Small Beginnings

Scripture: "He replied, 'If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.'" - Matthew 17:20 (NIV)

Reflection: When you're facing a mountain—be it a personal struggle, a family issue, or a professional challenge—it can feel discouraging. The first step is planting—putting that tiny seed of belief into action, letting it take root in daily living. These small beginnings, these mustard seed moments, set the stage for growth.

Application: Reflect on an area in your life where you feel like your faith is small. How can you plant that mustard seed today? Maybe it's starting the day with a prayer, meditating on a Scripture verse, or making a small decision to trust God's plan. Recognize these moments as the beginnings of greater growth and transformation.

Prayer: Lord, help me to embrace the small beginnings in my life. Teach me to plant my mustard seed of faith, trusting that You will nurture it and make it grow. Give me the courage to take that first step, knowing that even the smallest faith in You can move mountains. Thank You for being with me every step of the way. Amen.

Let's break it down. Starting with faith the size of a mustard seed might not seem like much. In fact, it can feel downright discouraging if you're looking at the mountain in front of you. But here’s the kicker—the size of your faith isn’t nearly as important as the fact that it's there, and it's real. Think about that seed. Left in a packet, it does nothing. But planted and nurtured, it grows. It might start with a whispered prayer as you face a tough day, a verse of Scripture that you cling to in a moment of need, or a choice to trust God’s plan when your own seems to be falling apart.
