Called to Discipleship
When we have received the Lord, and continue to learn from Him and follow His ways, we are called disciples.
In Scripture, the word "disciple" means a learner, student, or follower—specifically one who adheres to the teachings and example of a master. Jesus said:
“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” – Luke 9:23 (ESV)
As disciples, we are also called to grow in faith, walk in obedience, and bear fruit, reflecting Christ in our lives. Over time, as we mature, we may also be described as servants, followers, believers, children of God, or even ambassadors for Christ.
