Day 5 - Overcoming Doubt: Peter's Walk on Water

Scripture: Matthew 14:29-30 - "'Come,' he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, 'Lord, save me!'"

Reflection: Peter's faith allowed him to walk on water, but his doubt caused him to sink. This story teaches us the importance of keeping our focus on Jesus, especially in the midst of storms.

Application: Think about a situation where doubt has affected your faith. How can you refocus on Jesus to strengthen your faith?

Prayer: Jesus, help me to keep my eyes on You, especially during life's storms. Strengthen my faith and help me to trust in Your power and presence. Amen.

Imagine standing on the edge of a boat in the middle of a storm, waves tossing you like a salad, and then deciding, "Hey, it's a great time for a stroll... on water!" Sounds a bit out there, right? But that's exactly what Peter did. When he saw Jesus walking on water, he didn't just gawk; he took the plunge—literally. What comes next in this wet and wild story is a masterclass in facing our fears and overcoming doubt, all with a little help from above.
