Day 1: Called to Be Disciples
Scripture: “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, ‘If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.’” – John 8:31 (NKJV)
Reflection:
Receiving Christ is only the beginning of our spiritual journey. Just as a newborn child must grow and learn, so must we grow in our relationship with Jesus. A disciple is more than a believer; a disciple is a committed follower, someone who studies His words, imitates His ways, and remains close to His heart. Jesus invites us into this deeper walk—not one of duty, but of devotion. When we daily choose His voice over the noise of the world, we step into the fullness of discipleship and reflect the love and truth of our Savior.
Application:
Ask yourself: Am I just believing, or am I truly following? Set aside time each day to read Scripture, listen in prayer, and act on His teachings. Look for ways to live out His love in your family, work, and community.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for calling me not just to believe, but to follow You. Help me to walk daily in Your truth, to abide in Your Word, and to live as Your disciple in every part of my life. Teach me, shape me, and use me for Your glory. Amen.
